Paula Wiggers

Een internationaal creatief levenspad, dat is het minste wat je van Paula kan zeggen.

Zij studeerde af aan de Koninklijke Balletschool van Antwerpen en werd lid van het Ballet van Vlaanderen.

Kort daarop verhuisde zij naar de Verenigde Staten, waar zij in Dallas haar bedrijf in interieurinrichting oprichtte, en nadien trok zij naar Zuid-Afrika.

Het creatieve vlammetje bleef ginder branden via cursussen potterie met klei en porselein, Raku keramiek en pastel tekenen/schilderen bij de Ruth Prowse school of Art in Kaapstad.

Bijna 3 decenia later kwam zij terug naar België en volgde ze les op de Academie van Schoten waar ze afstudeerde in schilderen onder leiding van Marc Kennis.

Paula houdt van kleur en experimenteren met verschillende media, technieken en stijlen. Tijdens deze tentoonstelling toont ze haar liefde voor de Afrikaanse natuur en fauna in een figuratieve stijl in olie en mixed media.

An international creative career, that's the least you can say about Paula.

She graduated from the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp and became a member of the Ballet of Flanders. Shortly thereafter she moved to the United States, where she had a her own firm in Interior Decorating in Dallas and then to South Africa.

The creative flame continued to burn there through courses in pottery with clay and porcelain, Raku ceramics and pastel drawing / painting at the Ruth Prowse school of Art in Cape Town.

Almost 3 decades later she returned to Belgium and took classes at the Academy of Schoten where she graduated in painting under the guidance of Marc Kennis.

Paula loves colour and experimenting with different media, techniques and styles. During this exhibition she shows her love for African nature and fauna in a figurative style using oil and mixed media.
