In “La vie en rose,” I play with contrasts—between light and dark, softness and roughness, fragility and strength. The upper layers are composed of soft, almost powdery shades of pink and white, which slowly crack and break open, as if time is making itself visible on the canvas. Below, a dark, deep red and purple landscape pushes forward; intense, vibrant, almost pulsating.
I wanted to evoke a world that is both dreamy and earthy—a moment when light touches heaviness. “La Vie en Rose” is, for me, a glimpse of life through a rosy haze, not as an escape, but as a choice for beauty, even in the imperfect.
